Vision Screening

The State of Indiana requires schools to screen students’ vision. Fulfilling that mandate takes people — and that’s where the Dunlap Lions Club comes in.

Our Partnership with Local Schools

We work alongside school nurses in the Concord and Goshen area to help schools meet Indiana’s vision screening requirement. Our volunteers assist in conducting screenings, freeing school staff to focus on follow-up and care. Students identified as needing further evaluation receive a referral to a licensed eye care professional.

Removing Financial Barriers

A referral is only useful if a family can act on it. When a student needs corrective lenses but financial resources are a barrier, the Dunlap Lions Club can provide assistance. We don’t want cost to stand between a child and the ability to see clearly in the classroom.
