Our Work
For more than 70 years, the Dunlap Lions Club has been quietly at work in Elkhart County — collecting eyeglasses, screening children’s vision, honoring veterans, and showing up wherever our neighbors need us.
Eyeglass Recycling
One of the signature programs of Lions Clubs worldwide, our eyeglass recycling effort collects used glasses from drop-off sites throughout Elkhart County, sorts and processes them, and sends them on to people in need around the world.
Vision Screening
Each fall, our members volunteer at local schools and community events to screen children’s vision, helping identify problems early so every child has a fair chance in the classroom.
Flags from the Heart
Each Memorial Day weekend, we join with the Elkhart Lions Club to plant hundreds of dedicated American flags in honor of veterans, loved ones, and community heroes.
